Curving platinum, warm 18k gold, and diamonds come together in this wonderfully unusual Art Nouveau design. The openwork construction creates an almost floating effect, with delicate diamond-set scrollwork winding around the finger and two larger round diamonds positioned at opposite ends. The floral-inspired details and graceful curves give it that unmistakable turn-of-the-century character.
Art Nouveau jewelry, which flourished from the 1890s through the early 1900s, looked to the natural world for inspiration. Vines, flowers, insects, and other organic forms replaced the more rigid symmetry of earlier jewelry, creating pieces that felt fluid and full of movement. This ring is a particularly charming example of that aesthetic, with its curling lines and intricate metalwork.
Size 8.5 | 2.04 grams | 18k gold & platinum | approximately 0.20 carats total diamond weight. A small mark is present on the back of the band from a previous resizing, but it is unobtrusive and does not detract from the ring's overall beauty.
